What a crock of ....

Anyone who served in Vietnam during the 66-68 period got shot at!
I was there!
I was shot at!
Does this mean I should run for president?

Kerry came back to the world and accused all of his brothers back in the jungle of atrocities that didn't happen. He sided with with the Fonda bitch (may her soul rot in hell). He threw someone elses medals away as a protest!

This guy didn't learn crap in Vietnam! Vietnam was about protecting your buddies - your soul mates! Kerry stabbed them in their backs.

Kerry is all about self agrandizement, and that's all that he's about!

Wil,

Nice article. You have to laugh at idiots like Rush Limpbaugh who was given a 4-F classification for a boil on his ass. He is really a true American hero like Junior. Even more amazing is the fact that he has an army of lemmings that would follow him over the cliff.

That boat patrol business sounds like it was very dangerous. I was never farther south than Chu Lai. It's like the old saying, "you had to be there."

Semper Fi,

Lt. Dan

p.s. God bless you bblight for your service to America. You and I and Wil might not agree on political issues but that is why men die in war. I totally agree w/ you on Hanoi Jane but don't confuse her W/ Kerry and the VVAW. They do not hand out Silver Stars in Cracker Jack boxes.

Hey, Lt Dan - Where, when, with what outfit in Vietnam?

I was in the Central lowlands with the Air Force. Qui Nhon, Phu Cat, sometimes Ankhe, in '66. I did a lot of grunt work on a C7A. We landed at Chu Lai a few times

Not a bad drop off - but wouldn't want to live there.

Hey, Lt Dan - Re: Kerry - As a Massachusetts resident, I "hear" stories from different Vets - no one likes this guy - he's arrogant to the Vets and a real prick - I don't know the guy - but I believe my comrades!

b,

I am not as pro-kerry as I am Anti-Junior. It could be the "officer" thing which I never subscibed to. They teach officers to never fratronize w/ enlisted men etc.. A lot of "butter bars" didn't last too long in the bush.

I was w/ 3rd Recon 1st tour 12/67 - 1/68. We ran out of Quang Tri Prov., I Corps and chilled out on Marble Moutain in Danang. 2nd tour w/ 7th Marines 5/68 - 12/68, out of Hills 10, 22 & 55 about 14 clicks SW of Danang, Dodge City. We ran ammo from Phu Bai to Chu Lai for awhile. The Americal Div was there w/ their fleets of APCs. They usually found the shape charges and box mines before we hit them w/ our duece & halves. WIA and medically retired.

Semper Fi,

Lt. Dan

I lucked out - had orders for a second tour in '68, and ended up going to Korea on a "Primn Beef" mission after the Pueblo incident.
Korea might be the coldest place in the universe, but, oh, those babysans! Choy duck oyyy!

b,

I used to get war stories from senior enlisted men and officers who served during the Korean War. I really can't believe that they fought and functioned over there. My brother got frost bite while serving out in the field in Germany.
I guess I am thankful for being a jungle baby instead of freezing to death in some place like Korea. In hind sight you might have been really pressing your luck on a second tour in the land of ghosts & shadows, I found that out the hard way.

Lt. Dan

Yeh - I got to miss Tet - what a shame - not! Korea wasn't bad duty except for the damned cold!
I still don't see how a Vet can support John Effin Kerry, but, to each his own!

Good luck to you!
